Hey — I’m Orion, the guy behind Super Suds Detailing.
This started the way most of these things do: with my own car and way too much time in the driveway. I’ve got a Subaru WRX, and somewhere between the third round of paint decon and learning what a proper two-bucket wash actually looks like, it stopped being a chore and turned into the thing I’d rather be doing than anything else. Over the last several years I’ve taken a real interest in cars. Super Suds is just what happened when I got serious about it.
When I’m not detailing, I’m usually doing one of three things. I play tenor sax in the Logan High School marching band — Friday nights in the fall are spoken for. I play guitar, mostly for myself. And I lift, which has probably done more for my work ethic than anything else; showing up when you don’t feel like it is the whole game, in the gym and even in my garage at times.
I’m a senior this year, and I’m also taking classes at Ohio University’s Lancaster campus. Right now I’m running Super Suds around school, band, and coursework, but the plan after graduation is to scale it up — more capacity, more services, and building this into something real for Logan and the Hocking Hills area.
